Looking for Cisco equivalent hardware
Hello Experts,
I am looking for cisco equivalent switch model which is similar to the Dell N3048 - Layer 3 model. I am looking to get 4 X 10 GB FIBER Connectivity modules at the back and 4 x SFP+ modules in the front with Stack options.
Thank you.

Why on the back?
TO get 8xSFP+ Interfaces you will need a Catalyst 4500-X but thats ALL SFP+, the smallest model is 16 ports so you would also need SFP-GLC-T's if you want to plug in copper

Hello,
I agree on the 4500X, its a great product and used a lot for Core and Distribution functions, but I would add;
What are your requirements for 10G?
Going from DELL to Cisco is a cost increase.
Is this your Core Switch or running a Server farm of sort?
If a farm the Cisco Nexus 5548UP might be a good fit. Then yo can add some 2K's for growth.
If you are just replacing with like for almost like and not too concerned with backend speed the Meraki
MS420-48: 48 Port 10 GbE Aggregation Switch might be a good fit also.
It all boils down to what the function is and budget.
Hope this helps
Thanks

Gents,
My requirement is to design using Dell N3048 and provide a comparable model in Cisco. This is a core switch. I want stack model and not a chassis model.

Hi,
the 4500X is a 1U and not a chassis. The Meraki switches are also 1U.
I seems that a lot of switches have 4 SFTP ports along with copper. The Dell seems to be a somewhat unique one with 8. But
One model the Cisco 3850 has an uplink module with 8 10GB ports.
snippet from data sheet:
Five optional uplink modules[2] with 4 x Gigabit Ethernet, 2 x 10 Gigabit Ethernet, 4 x 10 Gigabit Ethernet[3], 8 x 10 Gigabit Ethernet4, or 2 x 40 Gigabit Ethernet QSFP+[4] ports

4500X is good, can I stack 2 x 4500x? This will create one core.
and I want to have 2nd core with 2 x 4500x and the link between the 2 cores I want to have 40 Gig.
can you please let me know if that can be done with this model.
