Infragistics UltraWinGrid control in a VB.Net application

I am using an Infragistics UltraWinGrid control in a VB.Net application.  I have enabled and am using the column chooser feature.   Now how do I set the default columns that I want to display in  code?

You can hide/display columns using the Hidden property
 grdList.DisplayLayout.Bands(0).Columns("Column1").Hidden = True
