I am running Veeam and they list resetting CBT as part of the upgrade process. I have some VM's that I can not power off in order to reset CBT, is there another way to reset CBT that is safe and will allow the vm to continue to run?

to be honest, no, can you storage vmotion it?  That should do the same thing.  We use Veeam for backup and I think we have done it from inside veeam in the past.

The logic seems to be solid enough and shouldnt cause a problem.

My understanding is that storage vmotion no longer resets CBT
