Any Twitter pros?

We sent a tweet to someone we follow.

The most recent tweet before today was June 2. Why can't I see the tweet I sent today so I will be somewhat confident that they got it?

Since that is one of many reasons why twitter is too hard to use, we went to their Twitter page to see if our tweet to them was their. Nope the latest one they got was 22 hours ago.

Can not see our Tweet on their page or our page. This creates lack of confidence in knowing if we sent it properly and did they get it?

I want to know the other person got my Tweet. Sending to you would work because your tell me you got it.
The ones I try to send and nothing to verify if they got it are people who gets 100's a day and want reply back to me.

When I went to their T page, there was a list of tweets there but none more recent than maybe 28 minutes. I thought mine would be top of the lists. And there people are TV analyst and they want their tweets to be public.
I have no idea if they got mine or not. They are not going to let me know.
Their timeline are tweets that they have sent out or retweets. The tweets that are sent to them will only be visible to them, unless they decide to retweet it.

If you send tag someone (using @username) in your tweet they will get a notification saying they were mentioned in a tweet.

I think what you are looking for is something like a read receipt, but to my knowledge there is no such thing for twitter.

I hope this information is helpful.
Did you get this to work? I never received any tweets as well.

Not yet. And it looks like never.

I thought their public list of tweets were (would be) all tweets that they receive.

Why would we want to see their retweets to John Doe who lives at the north poll?

I sent an important tweet and there seems to be no way to know if they even received it.
I can not ask them and they are not going to reply back. The content of my tweet could have been mentioned on their TV show the other day 12 noon to 1pm but the group did not discuss it though the topic was a top priority for them.
oh, I see. This would be something to discuss with Twitter themselves, But I believe that this is a security measure if two people are discussing private matters.
