sql2014 ssrs, how the report get downloaded

Guys,
I'm interested to know that how sql server in reporting services 2014 perform the download of the report, for example if I have 300k rows of data from my report and I chose excel 2003 to be save as, how this process get started ?

Your first problem is that reports such as SSRS really have no business being more than a couple of pages, let alone 300k rows.  Are end users really expected to manually sift through 300k rows?

ETL tools such as SSIS are optimized to transfer larger data sets to a destination such as Excel, and they can be scheduled to execute and be either emailed or create a file in any directory.

Hi,
We have a plan to move the report to ssis, but at this time I just need to know how the rendering works to save the report which we  open in reporting services page.
