Onsite Exchange to Hosted Exchange Help

We moved our company from our onsite Exchange Server 2007 to a Hosted Exchange provider.  We moved over 130 mailboxes to the exchange hosting provider. The provider was able to migrate all email to their servers.  We can get email via OWA and phones.  We just cant get email via Outlook.

We have set up an autodisover record to point to the hosting provider in order to setup the Outlook profiles on their computers.

When we do, Outlook tries to connect to the onsite exchnage server we used to have.  We have removed the exchange server from the domain and it still tries to connect to the exchange server.  We cant connect to the hosted exchanger server.

We are able to setup email on our home computers or any computer that was not on the domain network.

What can we do to troubleshoot this issue?  The hosting provider states something on the network is blocking the connection.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

You can check the connectivity at https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com/ or you can check with the below steps.

 Check whether the Autodiscover URL is already working for your environment by logging onto OWA first and then visiting;

https://mail.company.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml
When you get the Autodiscover XML with Error Code 600 , that's good to go and If not, you may need to make an entry for firewall exception.

ASKER

We have run those tests and do get the error code 600 and the tests on the Microsoft site all shows good. This is happening on our network as well, is there something on the firewall we need to set so this traffic will work from Outlook also?

The CNAME record has already been setup.

I don't know what you mean by adding the list of items as "exceptions" in the firewall, and also about the virtual directories. Where do I add these exceptions in the firewall and where am I looking for these virtual directories?

Autodiscver is not the problem.  It works.
Let me know if any other issues with this.
