How can a person grant access to a shared mailbox thru outlook 2010

I have given the mailbox full permissions but a user goes to outlook they are unable to expand the mailbox. I have to give them full access and them they are able to expand the mailbox. Then the user tries to give others access to the mailbox and they are prompted with access denied. any suggestions

This expert suggested creating a Gigs project.
If you have full access to the mailbox.
Then, right click> Data file properties > Permissions > Add users

And select permissions you want to give
