DIIOP IP Addresses Changes Automatically

Hello,

I have noticed the DIIOP IP addresses changes to loop back IP most of the times and then we need to disable the network adapter on the server, refresh the DIIOP and again enable the adaptor. Some time we have also noticed it is taking the secondary  adapter IP address. Any idea why this happens and how we can stop it?

Sorry, I don't understand your question. How is it "looping"? Can you give an example?

Does the server have more than 1 IP-address? And where does that affect DIIOP?

Hi Sjef, Yes there are two network adopters on the server one is primary and other is secondary. DIIOP for us is said to be used of secondary. I am a bit bad at networking but still trying to see where and why this is happening... It is not looping but it changes at times and we come to know only where external applications are not accessible.

Would this page give you the information you need: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21236597 ? It discusses several ways to bind an interface and/or a port to DIIOP.
