Using ibackup how do you restore a file

I am really confused. Customer is using ibackup. I have called the ibackup support center. Abd i have never experienced the type of rudeness that they  have delivered. I was told that you cannot restore files for a specific date  using the  web portal that you actually have to do  that from the client software installed on the computer. How can thay be?  Can anyone verify that because u have searched that on the web and it show that you can. However the screens on the web are completely  different than what we have. Any help would be greatly appreciated

IMO
1. You have to use the client for pretty much anything. The web is useless
2. Find a new backup software to support your clients with.

The company is using https://www.ibackup.com/versioning.htm.  The strange thing the information on the web on there site says you can get on ibackup.com and logon to your account and restore versions.  However when I get onto the account via the web portal, you cannot do this.  You can only restore versions if you use their client software.  Anyone else have any input on this?

That is your experience and what their support people told you. I would consider using someone else like box.net

Maybe it depends on the version of the software you are using. The don't have even user manual or best practices on their website. Try client software as they suggested and then think about replacing this backup solution woth something else.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Ibackup is the worst backup software i have come across.  I was told today, by tech support (rudely, i might add) not to use the web portal as they have glitches.  To restore or backup I need to use the Ibackup client software.  However if i want to look at reports I need to use the web portal.   Lousy product.

Just advice: next time when you select a backup solution or any other software product - check if the vendor has a good written manual, perform a support flow with them to check how convenient their support service is with you, check the design of their website.
First two points are most important.

noxcho - I usually do a good review of any software I will choose for the company I work for.  This other company I am helping out as a favor,  already had this backup in place unfortunately.    Someone got them a terrible package, but  you get what you pay for.
