Monitoring IBM System x through PRTG

Hello
We have IBM System x series  with Linux OS. We are monitoring the servers health such Temp, RAID, Physical Drives etc. using PRTG.
In PRTGI cannot find any way to monitor IBM Systems with Linux OS.
For Windows, by default the IBM sensors are available and it is just required to enable SNMP and install Platform agent on Windows to start monitoring.
But we are finding difficulty with Linux

Can someone share any resolution if they had any such experience.

Thanks

You can monitor Linux with snmp just like Windows.

what Linux distro is it?
Yes, you can monitor Linux with PRTG.  You can use the standard SNMP sensors, plus there's a list of Linux-specific sensors here.  If you're trying the SNMP sensors and they're not working, you might need to enable SNMP inside Linux first.

Thanks Kimberly.

I've added Linux SNMP Sensor but I have two issue which I need to clarify with you.

- I've added the Physical Disk SNMP Sensor but I see lots of sensors are added and each sensor is not clear to me.
- Secondly I have Memory SNMP sensor and it shows the sensor down with a message
'1 % (Percent Available Memory) is below the error limit of 5 % in Percent Available Memory"
I didn't get understand the message.
Which memory exactly I need to monitor ?

Please see the attached.

Hello Samir,

There are some sensors specifically for the System x (all based on SNMP), which you can find here.  They'll give you easier-to-understand results than the other SNMP sensors.

You *will* need to have IBM Systems DIrector installed on the System x first, though, because the System x sensors read custom IBM OIDs that are only available when you have the Systems Director Agent installed.
Hello,
I'm not able to find IBM Platform Agent for Linux Systems
