Officejet 6230 not printing

Printer fixes are usually easy for me, except for the one I am working now. I have an HP officejet 6230 that will not print. So here is what I have done so far.

Removed the printer and drivers and reinstalled. Reset print spooler. Reboot. Moved USB cable to another port. Still no luck. When I go to print, the printer will not come out of sleep mode. Any ideas?

Sometimes you have to physically unplug the printer for a minute from the power.  Have you tried that?

According to the customer, he did that but I will confirm and get back to you. Anything else just in case he did that?

Did you check the setup at the printer control panel (forget the computer). Can you print a test page directly at the printer?

Have you tried resetting the printer?

Here's how (also stated above):

Follow these steps to reset the printer.

1.Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
2.Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
3.With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
4.Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
5.Wait at least 60 seconds.

Eddie,
There is another thing I noticed that some of the HPs do.  Depending on what he is printing when he attempts to print it will show his printer of course BUT  to the VERY BOTTOM there is something else that reads something to the effect to "use default printing system"  don't quote me because I can't remember the wording.  Tell the client to click that.

If test page did not work and if you did a reset, then there is a hardware issue.
