Outlook 2016 from office 365 small business premium
I have a client that is having a problem with outlook attachment previewer for word or excel documents. When you click on a document to do the previewer in outlook it comes up saying this file cannot be previewed because there is no previewer intstalled for it. I have checked the settings and attachment previewer is not disabled and the word and excel previewers are selected. I have tried to disable and reenable both the attachment previewer and the word and excel previewers individually. I also have it updated fully and I have done the registry key fixes that you find when you look for this problem on google. Also it is not the files themselves because if you double click the file it will open in word or excel without a problem. But the client wants the previewer to work also. Anybody have any idea of a fix for this.

I have made a new profile and tried and still no preview. I removed office completely and reinstalled still did not working. I updated office to the latest update and still not working. Just to say I don't think it makes a difference but this is a windows 7 with office 365 with gives her outlook 2016. Any other ideas
First can you try Preview on another Windows 7 machine? I have used Office 2013 on Windows 7 but not Office 2016.
Determine if Preview works in Windows 7 (Preview certainly works in Windows 10) and then if it does, then you may need to do a Windows 7 Repair Install on the problem computer. You need the Windows 7 DVD for this.

it does work on windows 7 we have another client with windows 7 and outlook 2016 and it works just fine

I checked the registry keys and they are all correct and I have checked in the trust center and everything is set there but still get This file cannot be previewed because there is no previewer installed for it. Any other ideas from anybody that can be done remotely on the computer.

I will try like the first link you have here and do a search to find anyone I maybe not seeing. As far as the second link I found that one before and ran that registry fix and still does not work

Perhaps uninstall Office, restart and reinstall Office.
If that does not work, make a new, test, Windows User Profile (Account). Log into the new Windows Account and test Outlook preview in the new Windows account.
