asked on OSX Mail typing problems
We have an imac with Yosemite and Mail is showing a strange symptom, every so often Mail displays wrong characters when typing into it, even replying to email, the wrong characters show up as we type. We can't figure this one out.

Have a (partly) screenshot? If you continue typing and send the mail, does it arrive with the correct text? How do you now resolve this? Upgrade to El Capitan an option?
Yes, a screen shot or other example of exactly what's happening would help.. If you press A do you always get # or something like that.
The first place I would check is the settings for the keyboard to makes sure you don't have some weird replacement in the text tab of the keyboard preferences.
