Hi Experts

Using Microsoft Visual Studio 2008

Is it possible to create a blank BlankReport.rldc with Header information and create the Table columns and Textboxes on the fly in the
BlankReportDefinition.vb

If so how, where to look and an example would be great

Thanks

The .rdlc file is a complex XML document that describes every aspect of the report, including parameters and data binding. Using a starter template is a good idea. Create a very simple report with a dataset, a tablix and a couple of columns then look at the XML behind the scenes -- yikes. That's what you need to generate. It's not rocket science but pretty fussy stuff.

The official MS docs are detailed but not terribly useful. You'll pick up more by looking at a very simple report.
