Did you do this for using both the 32bit and 64bit caspol?

Yes, Actually site was working fine after running this command to trust the remote share.It wasgiving me the error message before.

But after that I have run the command again , and it starts giving me error messages   (  More than one exclusive group is not allowed ).

When I list the groups, I can see the double entries, Now I am trying to figure out the syntaxt to remove the duplicate entry ? I don't want to run this command without knowing

Thanks

Syntax is:  caspol [-enterprise|-machine|-user] –remgroup {label|name}

For Example:  caspol –remgroup My_Group

Hi dan,

(((((     I don't know why but as if there is no one who has been good on IIS except you. You should write a book about IIS. There are lots info about simple stuff such as creating web site etc, but not detailed information about the real application in real production environment. and Microsoft articles, they are not written in a simple way. this is my last project on IIS :) I won't touch it again ))))))

when I list my groups,I have few same entry such as: ( the code sits in www folder )

   1.15.  Url - file:////\\torontodata\www$\TRI\www\*: FullTrust (Exclusive)
   1.16.  Url - file:////\\torontodata\www$\TRI\www\*: FullTrust (Exclusive)
   1.17.  Url - file:////\\torontodata\www$\TRI\www\*: FullTrust (Exclusive)

I think it should be like this : caspol –remgroup 1.15 and caspol –remgroup 1.16 so that there should be only 1.17 left.

Interesting I saw this site during my search on the net , but I didn't notice this command,

You're running the commands in a console with "Run as Admin", right?

Have you tried both the 32bit & the 64bit caspol?
