Google Calendar email has wrong times

I am using Google Calendar to schedule bookings for a local community centre and it works well in the main. One problem I have though is that while the times are entered on the calendar correctly, the email notifications sent to some recipients seem to have the time shown incorrectly. I cant see any reason for this....  suggestions welcome.

normally caused by incorrect time zone settings either by the creator or the reciever
