I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I don't wear these, nor have I seen anyone wear these. I wear reading glasses (variable bi-focals actually). They are coated for glare and I do not have any issues. I use my laptop many hours per day.

I no longer see screens on LCD / LED screens either.

Is it is big problem?  It is not a major issue amongst my clients and colleagues.

I do have Gunnar computer/gamer glasses that I put on occasionally at work. There are days where I am in front of the computer all day, doing research, entering data, and so on. On those days when my eyes start to feel strained and tired, I put on my computer glasses. And for what it's worth, they really do help me. I can feel the difference right away.

-And I agree with John, I have not seen anyone other than myself and my colleague, who referred them to me, wear these type of glasses.

I usually just look away periodically and let my eyes focus at a different distance or look out a window from time to time when the screen is refreshing.  The new screens don't reflect background fluorescent lights like the old CRT's.

It has never caused me a problem but I worked one guy years ago that had to quit because he got frequent migrain headaches.

If I watch a LED screen too long I go almost completely blind and eye rest is the only solution.

People with vision problems should see a doctor. I do not get eyestrain from my laptop.

For what it's worth.  My wife used to have a sleeping mask that had a filling of that blue liquid like in cold packs.  The cold on her eyes seemed to help.

She worked as a bookkeeper and had frequent migraine headaches.  She would keep it in the freezer and would put it on and lie down.  I don't really know for sure if it was the cold helped swelling or the lack of light input that helped her.  And, I have no idea where she got it.
