How to configure Raid 10 Dell Poweredge R710?

How to configure Raid 10 Dell Poweredge R710?

I went through the process of configuring Raid 10 utilizing the Dell System build disk however when I go through OS installation process it shows 2 unallocated spaces.  One is 2TB in size and the other 3.5TB.  How do I make one large partition?  It does not seem to allow me too.

I have a total of 6- 2TB hard drive and I'm installing Server 2012R2.

First, you have to have your Boot Mode set to UEFI. Windows cannot use a disk larger than 2TB unless it is GPT, and Windows can't boot a GPT disk unless installed in UEFI-enabled system.

Don't use SBUU ... boot directly to the Server 2012 R2 media to install.

Problem of 2TB partitions/boot disk solved with UEFI, which is supported on this machine.

I did not have the proper raid controller to configure Raid 10.  Once I installed a new perc card, I was good to go.
