Malmensa:
e-mail, internet use, many programs one of which requires lots of ram, graphics, etc.
storage of videos and music. No gaming.

nobus:
That appears to be correct on the secondary drive.

The bad news is it won't be purchased until Feb.

The good news is I have $250 in Best Buy gifts cards to offset the cost.
Hopefully 6+ months keeps the price where it is and maybe the ram goes to 12 and the processor to an i7. Not likely but maybe.

Thanks and I was happy to help.
"... i did read it otherwise, it says it is a 7200 RPM drive with 8 GB cache "  ==>  Typical 1TB drives have a 32MB or 64MB cache.    The description of the hard drive on this unit clearly says "2-in-1 hybrid drive ..." and it has an 8GB cache ... this is the SSD component [and provides a cache 128 times larger than the typical memory cache]
sorry Gary - i never saw that part, but if you say so, i do believe it is correct

Good thanks....on the 2 in 1 hybrid.
I've seen that before and did not think it was HHD + SSD.
