That /29 is probably routed to your end of the /30.

Configure your (static) NAT statements.

If you do a tracert -d -w 100 84.9.232.145 from a PC using the Linksys as default gateway you should see the packet going out to the ISP address and back to your router (where it will be dismissed because there is nothing forwarded yet for those addresses). If not, routing is not set properly at the ISP.

hi,
thank you for the input however;

@Jan  there is no option for static NAT

@Qlemo  just timeouts after passing through the gw, however ISP states routing is workin. Nothing connected to the external.

Thanks

How are you configuring this /29?  On a physical interface?  Or, will you use them for NAT?

I would ideally like to use NAT

x.x.x.1 -->  int ip 1
x.x.x.2 -->  int ip 2

Thanks

Well, when you configure your NAT, they should just work.

HI Jan

I can not see anywhere where I can enter these NAT instructions on the TP-Link WD9980 vdsl router.

Thanks

Thanks Jan

I think the router model is an issue as it will not allow the vdsl to be a bridge.

Really do appreciate the quick responses.

kind regards

Matthew

Routers

A router is a networking device that forwards data packets between computer networks. Routers perform the "traffic directing" functions on the Internet. The most familiar type of routers are home and small office cable or DSL routers that simply pass data, such as web pages, email, IM, and videos between computers and the Internet. More sophisticated routers, such as enterprise routers, connect large business or ISP networks up to the powerful core routers that forward data at high speed along the optical fiber lines of the Internet backbone. Though routers are typically dedicated hardware devices, use of software-based routers has grown increasingly common.
