Best way of Moving a hyperv vm to new host

I have an old windows 2012r2 hyperv host that I am going to retire. The new host is a much more robust machine also running Windows 2012r2. What are the best procedures to move my single vm over to the new host?

It depends on hardware specs. If both servers have the same CPU manufacturer (Intel vs. AMD), you have more options available. Basically, though, the process of moving involves setting a Replica server for the VM and then Moving the VM. You do this by opening the Hyper-V Manager, right clicking each VM and selecting Enable Replication to configure replication. Once replication is configured and the data is fully replicated, right click the VM again and select Move to move the VM to the replica server.
