Best Cost Effective L3 switches to run CLOUD PLATFORM

Dear Experts,

Can somebody recommend Best but Cost effective L3 1 Gig switches where I can do some VLANS, routing, bandwidth policing and monitoring using sflow or netflow

I am thinking of Huawei or Juniper

Any ideas or recommendations?

What kind of routing?

For basic static routing I would go with a Cisco Catalyst 2960-x.

For use of real routing protocols a true layer 3 switch is needed and my preference would be a Cisco Catalyst 3650 for entry level Layer 3 switching.

Good, solid switches, excellent support and warranty.

Do you have some expertise on Huawei or alternatives to reduce the cost? I feel Cisco is overly priced due to brand

Sorry, no personal experience with Huawei products. We pretty much use Cisco, Brocade, Dell & HP switching technologies.

I can give you some Dell/HP options, but can you tell me what kind of routing you need to do? Is it just static routing or are you going to use some routing protocols like RIP, OSPF, etc.

Thanks for the mail.

BGP published IP routing is one of the criteria, VLAN and all other standard cloud requirements.

For above which of the cisco models you suggested will work better?
