How to prevent an automatic time out in WellsFargo Account Statement?

While using Safari Browser,  my login session with Wells Fargo Account times out due to inactivity on the web site.

In Windows, using Explorer, there were utilities to prevent this from occurring,  by periodically simulating activity.
Is there a way to do this with a  Mac Book Pro OS El Capitan 10.11.6 using Safari?

Not using Safari as far as I am aware .. but there are Keep Alive plugin/extensions for Firefox and Chrome on OSX.

Firefox : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/session-keep-alive/
Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/staying-alive-for-google/lhobbakbeomfcgjallalccfhfcgleinm

If you HAVE to use Safari then you're going to have to come at it from a different route.

There are tools like Automator and 3rd party applications like Keyboard Maestro - http://www.keyboardmaestro.com/main/
You need a script which will press the "Command + R" keys every X seconds or minutes which will refresh the page and keep your session alive.  You'd basically open the website you desire, login and then kick off the script which will trigger the key command at a regular interval.
This isn't ideal but about as close as you will get to Keep Alive on Safari

Hi Eoinosullivan,

I can use Chrome and the script you recommended.

PS:  Your have an interesting profile.   Me, I worked for RCA Aerospace which was purchased by neutron Jack for GE.  After wrecking both Ge's and Rca's aerospace programs he sold both divisions to Martin Marietta.  A few years later, the CEO of Lockheed Martin bought out Martin.  So I ended up retiring from Lockheed Martin Nasa Aerospace.  I was in system engineering, what a hell of a 30 year ride ---- through the birth and growth of whatever it is we have today.  From the PDP8, to the first IBM desktops, the Japanese knockoffs, the birth of Apple IIe,  Ungerman Bass thick cable intranet, Sun Microsystems, Unix, Linux,   and on and on.  Boy it was fun.
Scary,  but fun!
I miss it so much.  But there is no going back.

Unfortunately, Wells Fargo changes their login url with each new browser login.  This happens even when using the same google chrome login steps.

Maybe its some kind of time code reference,  or an index suffix to disable logout blocker extensions.

Anyway, it was worth a try.  The extension did work, but only once,  per login, when the url was copied to the extension from the active login.  But not the second time, from a new browser login.
No charm here.
