Duplicate prints

Hi experts,

I have a strange one, a user in the office is experiencing duplicate printing, but ONLY with one specific printer, with one specific application (word 2010)

So if the user prints from notepad to that printer and chooses 2 copies, you get two copies.

If the user prints from excel to that printer, and chooses 2 copies, you get 2 copies

If the user prints from word to that printer, and chooses 2 copies, you get 4 copies!!

If the user prints from word to ANOTHER printer and chooses 2 copies, you get 2 copies!

So this could be a preference for a specific printer, in a specific application.. But I can't find out where?? And 'pages per sheet' is set to 1

Anyone seen anything like this before?

Info:
Printer is a HP (using HP universal driver)
Printer is shared from a print served (winsvr 2008 r2)

Thanks

Specific printer setting into word for that printer?

MSWord: Print -> select the printer -> Printer settings -> advanced settings

Try this:

Set the number of copies in the Word print dialogue to 1.
Click Printer properties to open the printer-specific dialogue.
Select the number of copies you want via the appropriate item in this dialogue.

I'm not sure whether or not this was what Manuel Flores was alluding to.

In the end, I had to delete the printer, and remove the driver from the machine. Then re-install the driver again. Rather than delete the printer and re-add where it would simply remember the settings and preferences.

This worked fine in the end
