iCloud software update problems...
The office is running Office 365 & everyone shares a couple of calendars that are set up in iCloud. After upgrading to the latest Office 365, calendar syncing has stopped working. After talking with Office 365 tech support, they have determined that we need to upgrade the iCloud software to the latest version, too. WHen trying through the spple softeware updater, I get the message 'Errors occurred while installing the updates. If the problem persists, choose tools > download only & try installing manually'. When I try this, I get the following message 'There is a problem with this windows installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. COntact your support personal or package vendor'.
WTF?!?!
All PCs are Windows7 & yes, AV software was turned off while trying the update.

Hi Gromack,
It appears that Apple and Microsoft are aware of the issue and Apple has a "How To" article to troubleshoot the problem: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205788
Hopefully this helps, if not let me know and we'll dig down further (I've seen a similar error with some Lenovo systems).

Great, I spent over two hours on the phone with Apple & went through two different tech support people & was left with the answer 'well, I've never seen this before, let me get this over to our engineers & they should get back to you in 24 to 48 hours', and that was 9 days ago!
I probably won't be able to give this a try till over the weekend, but I'll let you know how it worked.
Thanks, again!

They may be aware of the problem, but it ain't fixed yet.
Ran that tool, removed everything apple related, when installing iCloud, it got as far as it ever did & gave me the same message that it always has. I'm thinking of adopting a new policy, F*** Apple & their f***ing iCloud , they can f***ing shove it up their f***ing a$$es, at this point.
Did I mention f*** Apple?
Surely Microsoft will have a way to bring any & all iCloud calendar & contact info into their Office 365 world, right?

Well, it appears that if you try to update iCloud, without signing out, it f**ks everything up. Even better, it paints you into a corner, where you can't uninstall, you can't repair, you can't open it to sign out, you can't do shit! I've tried removing anything Apple-related with both iobit uninstaller & a Microsoft fix, program install and uninstall troubleshooter & even after all that get the message 'there is a problem with this windows installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor' And I have tried by downloading through apple software update (I left that one time) & by downloading from website.
Short of wiping HD & reinstalling everything from scratch, WTF can I do to get this to install?!?!?
Barring any answers, does anyone know if the cloud based calendar that comes with office 365 subscription with integrate with iPads, iPhones, etc?
WTF?!?!?
