VMWare Workspace ONE

We are currently using a container based technology for securing our mobile applications on BYOD.

The challenge with this is the need for the vendor to keep up with the features in the consumer space.

I've been reading about VM/Airwatch's WorkSpace one offering which claims to be able to secure native apps, even from Microsoft etc.

Is this correct?

I will do! But how does this work? How can they secure a Microsoft app without

i. Some sort of MDM
ii. Actually working with MS
what is your definition of secure and expectation ?
For example, blocking the ability to copy and paste data out, the secure transfer of data between 'corporate apps'

OK, so we can either use Boxer - which is Airwatch's implementation of an email client - or use the native MS email application, however the latter will require some degree of MDM?

Is that correct?

Boxer did look pretty cool
Yes, that is correct, BUT I would encourage you to test, and Proof of Concept, before you sign-up and agree a contract!

It may not meet your requirements and expectations.
Oh of course, this was just a little bit of research :0)
The MDM can part of the requirement for Boxer or a MAM apps as stated
Container options: Customers can deploy Boxer to users enrolled in MDM or as a containerized, managed application via AirWatch Container or Workspace ONE. Ideal for BYOD deployments, containerization separates business and personal data and only allows IT to secure and manage enterprise data without an MDM profile.
The MDM profile will provide a more comprehensive work space, catch these
