Is it best practice to have spanning tree port fast trunk between WLC and switch?

Per this guide under network Network Connectivity:

it is recommended that spanning tree is turned off on the WLC.  So given that, I always turn port fast on for those ports.  No need to let the port wait 30 seconds going through the 1st two stages of spanning tree.
