Need a great Assetment tool that
Analyze customers existing environments
Provide ongoing view to customers Environment
Nice reports and etc.
Deep insight into their environment on capacity and etc.

Managed DRS
How are we doing on performance
Snapshot history

Custom reports

Takes time to present nice reports.
Existing customers -- Pre-sales engagements to run against their environment or vcenter to get a trusted advisor on capacity and how its running and how to compare to how we can do it.

GHz used --  CPU sizing
Memory
Disk
Network etc.

Need to be vendor agnostic.

Is there one tool that can do this.. and / or scripts

I would look at and recommend VMware vSphere Operations Manager.

http://www.vmware.com/products/vrealize-operations.html

It's an appliance, you can import, leave running for two weeks, and then review reports, and it can be done for free, as it runs in evaluation mode for 60 days.

Advantage of vRops, is it uses the data already collected in the vCenter Server database, if you are a VMware Partner, there are other internal Assessment Tools that can be used, and then you have Veeam One and Dell Quest Foglight products.
