Active Directory Rights Management Service - Server 2008 standard r2
Hi,
I'm trying to configure AD RMS using a local sql express database on our domain controller. Setting up the feature seems to go through successfully, but when i go to load up the AD RMS console i get the following error:
The ConnectionString property has not been initialized.
When i navigate to the AD RMS Server Role Manager Web Service i'm able to see the page that should be displayed.
Has anyone come across this type of issue while trying to configure AD RMS?
Any assistance would be much appreciated.

I'm logged on to the server with the user i installed the role on, my account automatically became a member of the AD RMS Enterprise Administrators but AD RMS is running using a specific service account.
Unfortunately i do not see the link you've mentioned in your post, this server the only with AD RMS. I did however follow instructions from youtube videos to help me get to where i am.
I have tried to install the role on another 2008 server but it will not allow me to create a new one, instead only giving me the option to join one.

Here is a link I followed when setting my ADRMS up. Did you follow some procedure for installing it?
Do you have more than one Member Server in your environment? If so it is best not to install other rolls on your DC, but it is not going to inhibit the deployment of ADRMS.
