Recommend a place where I can get free 3D objects

I need a large selection of 3D household objects, like books, furniture, appliances, computers, etc. Could someone recommend a place that offers them for free?

For example, I was thinking maybe there's an open source DB of objects used for gaming that's the standard among developers.
