Just purchased Virl and wanted to know how most are using it without having an elavorate powered laptop?  If I need to go hosted, what's available at what cost?  Where do I get labs to play with?

Hello,

Simple and cheap, vmware workstation, run it as a vmware OVA and once setup hit the browser interface.  Quick and simple.

Hope this helps

Hi,

If you want to access the VIRL from other computers you will need to setup NAT mode and allow ports to be open so they can get to your machine
If you are just using your Windows machine with vm workstation on it, then you can use the Bridged mode.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Have you added all these other networks, because they are not the default, and do you need them ?

To get it going you do not need them all

Try the install a few times to get a feel and understand how it works

It installs pretty quickly
