Sync issue between Exchange 2013 and Outlook 2010 client

Ever since we assigned a new computer to one of our staff, his mailbox is increasing by 3 to 4GB everyday on our exchange server. The .ost file on his local profile is about 4GB but he keeps getting the warning "Your mailbox is becoming too large" from the server. This user is in our remote office connected via site to site VPN. He's the only one having this problem.
We were not notified about this until today so here is the size of his mailbox (from the server) from the last 5 days.
Seems like the sync issue between the exchange server and the client (outlook)? Has anyone seen this issue and if so, what did you do to fix it?
