in our crm 2011, we have lead entity and i need to update 50000 records to lead.firstName. This is the only field i need to update.
how can i update it using SDK. I may just need some codes to do.
I can import SDK into visual studio project. This is my first project against crm. so more resources will help

Thanks,

Hi,

You will need to retrieve all the records through CRM. Based on what value you get for Customer First Name, you will have to update the list of all the records' attribute (first name in your case.).

You can update these records individually in a for loop which is Synchronous way of updating all records and it might take too much of the execution time and server resources.

I would suggest you go for ExecuteMultipleRequest. It gives you the flexibility to execute 1k records at a time in bulk. This is Asynchronous process which is run in background.

Based on your requirements, you will have to update your code.
