I'm looking for a solution to integrate a PostgreSQL database in my google docs spreadsheet.

My database consists of about 20 or so tables, some with several thousand rows.

The database is constantly changing and the latest updates need to be accessible from within google docs.  So a one off import wouldn't be ideal.

Is this possible?   Any help would be appreciated.

You could do that by runing from within any psql prompt a command like:

copy (select foo, col from tab) to stdout with csv;

and then you can just copy/paste into your spreadsheet program of choice. Looks like for google docs it works better to directly paste it into a CSV file and then upload it rather than messing around with copy and paste.

OR you can use a 3rd party connector like:

https://zapier.com/zapbook/google-docs/postgresql/
OR
"Yes. Kloud.io is a data analytics product whose mission is to democratize data access for everyone. It lets you connect a google sheet to a Postgres or mysql database, define your reports in http://app.kloudio.io and then select that query in your google sheet to run it. Kloudio - Google Sheets add-on has a basic version that is completely free and very simple to use. There is also an enterprise version that can be hosted on-premise and data will not leave a company’s firewall"
