Office 365 help with tasks
Dear Experts,
I need some help re the following issue:
In-Place-Hold
I have followed the following link: https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/28193051/How-to-add-all-online-mailboxes-to-litegation-for-7yrs-2555-days-without-hunt-and-peck.html
I have been able to successfully create it, however when I give the command Get-MailboxSearch, it shows the
InPlaceHoldEnabled: True
Status: NotStarted
Please help me to resolve.
Second issue is more of understanding related:
Let's say if i delete the user after 2 years or 1 week & I want to retrieve all of his emails, does inplacehold resolve that?
If yes, how can I get all the emails of the user?
Third, in the link above which I followed, there is a command Get-MailboxDatabase to include all the mailboxes to inplacehold, however it doesn't work.
Can you please advice what am i doing wrong?
Thanks in advance

Thanks Jian,
So I added the Admin in the Group & when I ran the command suggested by you , i get the following results:
As you can see there are some users where the Hold is Enabled.
However, when I go to EAC, I have only one inplacehold policy enabled, but there is no option to export?
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance!

nearly there
now, put in your drive you want your PST to be stored locally
click next
then it will prompt you for another time for user/password
then it will start exporting to locally.

as long as you place the mailbox on litigation hold.
else you got 30 days to do so.

& in-place hold is litigation hold?
Or is there another way of doing it?
Or is there another way of doing it?
in-place hold or litigation hold do similar work
and there is no other native way, unless you want to invest on Office 365 Backup.
