Hello Experts,

My CCNP was due to expire. I was told that Cisco have now made available to possibility to renew the certification by taking and passing on the major CCNP exams. Can someone let me know if that's correct.

I passed the CCNP ROUTE exam, therefore will be CCNP certification be renewed for a further three years?

Regards

As Rafael already stated: "Yes it will be renewed". But  why to do that, when your CCNP certification can be renewed by any of (from the link Rafael gave):
Pass any current 642-XXX Professional-level or any 300-XXX Professional-level exam, or
Pass any current CCIE Written Exam, or
Pass the current CCDE Written Exam OR current CCDE Practical Exam, or
Pass the Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr) interview AND the CCAr board review to extend lower certifications
For example, to become CCDP (and renew also your CCNP certificate) you need to pass "only" 200-310 DESGN CCDA and 300-320 ARCH exams.

Not sure about your timeline and experience in network design, but it is worth to think about it.
