OS is Win7Pro. I have done this before, but, forgot how to do it.  I have it logged on the local logon, and, I have it connected on the VPN.  When I try to Join a Domain, it says "Windows cannot find an account for your computer in the CONTUSO domain.

You might have to create the account in AD before you do this.  I've done this before and I remember  having to set up the computer account beforehand.

Thanks for the link. Reading that jogged my memory....NOTE TO SELF: I'll need to remember next time that I have to go into System>Advanced System Settings>Computer Name>Change>Member of>Domain and type in CONTUSO.local.  I kept forgetting to type in the .local.  That took care of it.
