Hi,
you say in point 1 to use an ip server then in point 6 to use a dns name, i can't understand :)
When I put ip address, I put the same of the windows server?
This vcenter is for lab purpose, I haven't a dns server.
For point 7 you mean that is better appliance then vCenter Server?
Thanks

I have this situation 2 physic server where i install vmware esxi 6 and another server with less cpu power and 16GB memory.
Is praticable for you that I install on this server vmware esxi 6, and on this put vcenter appliance and create a vm that do Domain Controller/DNS + target ISCSI for the 2 physic server?
Thanks

sorry, you are right
1. Use a static IP Address (this is difficult or not supported t change later).
2. Do not USE DHCP.
3. Ensure that BEFORE you install vCenter Server 6.0, you have ALREADY allocated an IP ADDRESS and Registered a HOSTNAME in DNS.
4. Check you can ping the hostname, Fully qualified domain name (FQDN).
5. Check you can traceroute and test a Reverse DNS entry, e.g. traceroute to IP Address should return the FQDN.
6. Always use DNS names NOT IP Addresses
7. Use the Appliance, NOT vCenter Server for Windoze!
Get this RIGHT first time, or install will fail, or you will need to re-install.
