Like anything Microsoft, there are a few different ways to do things. Usually none better than the other, just a matter of personal preference.

To create a new sub site, go to Site Actions --> then "New Site" --> choose the sub site type from the shown types. (If you don't know what to choose, pick Team Site. It is a commonly used template.)

You will need to add a Title, and a URL. Those don't have to be the same. For example, you can set the title as "Make Administrators Giants Again" and the ULR as "maga". Note- the url should just be the letters with not special characters as the example may show. Click on next. If it asked you if you want unique permissions, you can say no, unless you now how to set up permissions. (If you don't know, open a new question and you will probably get some information about that.)

Hope that helps...

I am working on it, but also need to give only 4 people permission to it.... so should this be setup as special permission?
