"Reset" on Apple devices

Hello

On iOS devices, I see we have:

Reset All Settings
Erase All Content and Settings

1. Could someone explain how these work? What's the difference between one and the other?

2. If I bought a device at iOS 9.3.1 and now have it on 9.3.5, what OS will either of the settings revert me to? Is it like a factory reset where it's reverted to the OS I purchased it at?

3. Will either of the Reset features delete any and all apps, including ones that could potentially cause Jailbreak?

4. My understanding of Jailbreak is that it sets some options on the OS that allow standard controls to be bypassed. Would either of the Reset options remove these extra settings too?

I have done both.

Reset settings leaves data and applications intact and resets network and like settings when you have problems like this.

Reset all content and settings wipes everything out and you must restore from backup.
