Why is this labeled Windows OS  if you want to do it on Ubuntu?

from a command prompt:

    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install mysql-server
    sudo mysql_secure_installation
    sudo mysql_install_db

There is plenty on configuring that you can Google for a step by step after that.

As to how to define everything, you have not even told us what you are trying to define it on.  If you are setting up wordpress there are also plenty of tuturials for that at codex.wordpress.org.  Without more detailed information you won't get much more of an answer.

I would imagine by looknig that you are supported to change 'databasename' to be the actual database name, username to be the actual database user name and password to be the actual database password since this script has no idea what those values might be. I'd also say that if running on the same machine that local host is good, if however, the MySQL is on another machine change localhost to the FQDN of the server, or its IP address.
