If your Windows 7 is the base system (that is your Windows 10 machine was added), then you need to remove the Windows 7 machine which may cause issues. You need to remove because you moved the license.

Assuming you have Windows 10 Pro, here's a way to Convert a Windows PC into a Virtual Machine using the built-in Microsoft Hyper-V

1. Convert Windows OS to VHD using Disk2VHD by Microsoft https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee656415.aspx

2. Install and configure Hyper-V Manager in 10.
