I'm trying to run putty so I can manually add an IP address to an APC network card.
But when I click open on the gui ,all I get is a windows chime and it does nothing.
Doesn't matter if it's serial, ssh or ip,it just chimes and does nothing.
I'm running as admin and the version is Release 0.67 x64 .
Any ideas?

I'm using the x86 version of PuTTY on Windows 7 and it seems to work fine.

Couldn't get it to work.
I just used an eval download of hyperterm and was done with it.

After you posted this question, I went to the 'official' PuTTY site, http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html .  They do not have an 'x64' version.  That is from another site that recompiles it with a '64-bit' compiler.
