If I have a file pulling in links from other files (let's call them child files)  let's call it the Master File...can I put the Masterfile on One Drive, password protect it and have (a) changes made to the master file reflected on the child files automatically? What do I need to look out for? Thanks

The way I interpret your question the link is in the Master File PULLING information FROM the Child File.

If that is the case changes to the Master File will not be reflected in the Child File

However, changes in the Child File will be reflected in the Master File if the changes are to the information which is linked.

If however, your child file also has a link pulling from the master file then changes to the master file will affect all child files that have the link.

The way I understand how OneDrive works is that you will effectively work on a local copy of the file which will then synchronise with the OneDrive copy, assuming it is in the OneDrive folder on the local PC.

It's still a work in progress to be honest..but you've given me great pointers as to where to work through the issues. Thank you :-)
