A customer asked me: "I am looking for a place to buy vanity phone numbers that we can “own” and port to whichever phone provider we chose. Do you have any ideas of where I might start looking for something like that?"

Anyone know?

Thanks

I am not sure who your carriers are, or your situation, but we buy or vanity numbers from the local carrier, Centurylink, pay the few hundred dollars, then convert them to a DID on our SIP trucks or back in the day T1.  Then if we decide to change our carrier we can have them ported without issues.
