Exchange 2003 Internal Mail bounce

Our domain (eg: xyz.com) has got POP3 and exchange account users. The exchange server is exchange 2003. Recently one of the users exchange account was shifted back to POP3 account and I have removed that user from AD users and computers. I was able to configure his POP3 email account, but when our exchange internal users send emails to him, it bounce back with the below

  IMCEAex-_O=ENHANCEUAE_OU=FIRST+20ADMINISTRATIVE+20GROUP_CN=RECIPIENTS_CN=
i then deleted the mailbox also but when i checked in Exchange Systems Manager and mailboxes I can see his mailbox there. How to solve this issue?

Add custom X500 address in this user properties with old legacy exchange dn value. For more details check this:

For 2003 you need to use dsa.msc snap-in. Search for the user, goto properties, under email address tab, you need to add X500 custom address.

in the user there is already a x400 address is there, so do we need to create another x500 also

yes you need to create X500 also.

just wanted to inform you that I had deleted that users mailbox and now there is no email address in properties

my question is

1) do we need to create a mailbox in "exchange tasks"
2) if so how do we get the details of legacy exchange dn value?

Yes, you need to recreate the mailbox again. Legacy dn value you can get from bounce back message.

i did check the bounce back message and i noted the below

IMCEAex-_O=domainname_OU=FIRST+20ADMINISTRATIVE+20GROUP_CN=RECIPIENTS_CN=email id

so what will be the exact value to be added in x500, please let me know

hi amit,

i have added the legacydn value and i found the value by the following command(hope it is correct).
csvde -f c:\users.csv -r (sAMAccountName=AnujP) -l "name,givenName,sn,displayName,sAMAccountName

then added the value in emaild id and type as x500.
now NDR is not receiving.

but mails not coming to his inobx also.

i can see mails in exchange owa but since his accout is now a pop3 account only external mails only comes.
