But email and the Blackberry Enterprise Activation Services wont work with BB's that have Android OS. defeats the reason for having them. Apologies I should have included this with my question (BEAS).

In the BES10 Client app, there's an activation procedure almost identical to a BB10 or older device.<br />
Obviously, the whole Android device isn't instantly changing to an old fashioned BB device now, it WILL work differently than you'd expect a BB device to work.
