XML namaspace

Hi Team,

I want to  know how the namespace for an XML document is created . I mean , do we follow the same rule as that for an website , wherein i have to get the unique website from W3C   and then keep that as name for my website.

On Similar lines like an website should I get any approval from any one for name space name for URL or is it user defined one.

Any help is really appreciated.

in short
- you either USE a namespace, then the unique identifying string of the namespace is crucial  (URI)
- or you CREATE a namespace, then you can invent your own identifier URI, but since you need it to be globally unique, you could could include your domain in the URI, to make sure no one else would use the same
