Outlook 2013 Search failing

I have multiple users that cannot search within Outlook.  They have issues searching for mail and Contacts.  Outlook comes back saying not found.  I have uninstalled and re-installed the index feature and the windows search feature. I have also gone into the search option in Outlook and rebuilt the search index.  Still nothing.

Anything else I can do?  I am stuck.

What version of Exchange is the mailbox on?  It may not be an Outlook issue.  I have needed to rebuild the Exchange indexes in the past.

I just noticed that the Microsoft Exchange Search Host Controller service is disabled.

Should it be started, and if so, should it be set to Automatic?
