Autoplay does not work on brand new Lenovo E560

I have a new E560 that has a good DVD player. I can right click and select play or play with PowerDVD and it works. However, it will not autoplay a movie. I checked that drivers are up to date. I checked the settings in control panel, they are fine. I checked the HKLM autorun and it is enabled. Has anyone run into this?

Go to Control Panel, Auto Play, and make all the settings have been set to Prompt.

So long as the device is set to Prompt, it will Auto Run for me.

I'm starting to think that the drive has an issue. I thought the same as you but this one isn't. Tomorrow i'll work the drive a bit and see if there are times it doesn't recognize a disc.  Have that feeling because what I've done and you suggested should work.

You are very welcome. It is possible the drive has an issue of course. Do you have a USB drive you could try?
